Celebrating the Winter Solstice is by far my favorite holiday (next to Christmas). Yesterday for the first time I explained what we celebrate on this momentous day to my 4 1/2 yr old in terms that she could understand, while lighting all the candles for the turning hour (around noon EST). Here's a peek at what we are remembering...click to view large.
And to you dear reader, may the turning of the days remind you that the Light of the winter months now resides within you to replenish and nurture with coziness and contemplation.
Love & Peace to you, Wild Roaming One

Wow! Now that's a festive pic!!
I love it!
Way to teach your kiddo about the Solstice...that is precious and I think it's great for them to grow up with great traditions like this.
Thanks for this reminder. At a time where I'm running to catch busses to the mall for last minute shopping, I need to be reminded what winter is actually about!
Merry Yule to you & yours!
*gonna be emailing you one of these days ...I need to discuss with someone, the direction my life is going...Toronto maybe?
:)
Bright blessings dear heart.. may your day be full of laughter and very few MOoo's..
