Wishcasting Wednesday ~ Shine

I decide whether or not to participate in Jamie's WW by how long her questions stick with me during the day or how long it takes for her question to prompt a response from my heart. Today was immediate...

"How do you wish to shine?"

I have spoken many times over the past couple of years about passing on hope to women who struggle with postpartum depression (PPD). Except for psychosis, I experienced every debilitating and real symptom of the illness. There were many, many days that I didn't know if I was going to survive it...or if I even wanted to...and what got me through were my family, friends and medical care givers and their gifts of hope through their words, their touch and their conviction that I would one day be back to my normal self. They shone like bright beacons of life and hope in the abyss of my darkness.

And that's how I wish to shine...I wish to shine HOPE for women who are suffocating in the depths of PPD so that they too know they can make it.

I'm already doing it here and there...and it makes my heart swell with gratitude for the insight into how to triumph this illness...but...I want to shine bigger and brighter and farther because I know it's needed beyond my immediate community.

Yes, I have big dreams for shinning HOPE...

Oh dear WRO, here is yet another area in which we are similar. I too suffered from PPD after the birth of my second son. How I wish I'd known about essential oils back then. You can use your oils along with your passion to help women!

As WRO wishes for herself, so I fragrantly and lovingly wish for her too.

As WRO wishes for herself, so I wish for her also. Having come through my own journey of severe depression, though not PPD, I was grateful for people like you who shone as beacons of survival by thriving and admitting to the dark journey that I was walking at the time.

What a wonderful way to shine. I have suffered through Clinical Depression many many years ago plus, I feel I suffered from PPD after my first child but didn't even realize it. The world needs more people like you to shine hope in the darkness. I could have used someone like you during my dark period~

My wish is for you SHINE Bright!!!

PPD is so cruel. Why do we women have to suffer like this. You know you have the strength to survive with the love of your family and friends around you and all of us wishcasters backing you up!

There was a line from the movie "Patch Adams" about spreading his enthusiasm like brushfire throughout the community. I see that for you. Helping others is so healing and so very important. Especially depression and PPD.

What a wonderful wish, and how vital hope is when you are in that fog and can't see any way out. Just holding on to anything you can get a grip on.

As you wish for yourself to shine with hope, so I wish for you too.

Oh Oat..that is beautiful! I was lucky and did not experience this with any of my five..it breaks my heart to see it though. One of my very dearest friends dealt with this. That you may offer up a bit of solice to those who deal with this hon. Having been there sometimes is the very best thing to help others reach out and take your hand! Hugs, Sarah
